The Danish Refugee Council has worked in Lebanon since September 2004, and the programs have followed the country’s needs and progress. The main focus of today’s efforts in Lebanon is to help the hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees, who have fled across the border to find protection from the conflict in their homeland. DRC is simultaneously maintaining the efforts toward the vulnerable groups of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon. More than 200.000 Syrian refugees have received assitance from the Danish Refugee Council since the beginning of the crisis. For further information about DRC, please refer to our website: www.drc.dk About the job Providing case management and psychosocial support to women and girls and particularly gender-based violence survivors Duties Provide age-appropriate counseling for vulnerable adolescent girls and children through the implementation of tools developed for caring for child survivors and in the best interest of the child. In compliance with best-practice and international standards in GBV response, provide direct psychosocial support for vulnerable women and girls and particularly GBV survivors Prepare and submit work plans upon Senior caseworker’s validation; Support the development of age-appropriate and needs-driven recreational, educational and skills-building activities Any other duties relating to the nature of the job as directed by the GBV Senior caseworker or by the Protection Manager.   About you To be successful in this role you must have: Bachelor/Degree in Social work, Counseling, psychology or other related field;  Ability to maintain confidentiality, respect, non-discrimination and safety of client at all times; At least 2 years of experience in counseling survivors of gender-based violence or vulnerable women and girls; Ideally you will also have: Master degrees in Social work, Counseling, psychology or other related field Previous experience with international and humanitarian organizations   We offer An interesting job in one of the world’s best NGOs. DRC will offer the successful applicant a contract until December, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be willing and able to work in Akkar area. Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for National staff.
