The Danish Refugee Council has worked in Lebanon since September 2004, and the programs have followed the country’s needs and progress. The main focus of today’s efforts in Lebanon is to help the hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees, who have fled across the border to find protection from the conflict in their homeland. DRC is simultaneously maintaining the efforts toward the vulnerable groups of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon. More than 200.000 Syrian refugees have received assitance from the Danish Refugee Council since the beginning of the crisis. For further information about DRC, please refer to our website: www.drc.dk About the job Under the direct supervision of the CSMC(Collective Site Management and Coordination) Programme Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation of all DRC's operations in collective settlements located in his/her area of responsibility. Duties Establish mechanism for regular discussion with refugees of different ages, gender and backgrounds, to fully understand their needs and concerns as well as gender roles. Design communication materials to ensure the effective dissemination of key messages targeting both the refugees and the host community. Provide feedback on refugee’s needs and concerns on regular bases to DRC programme manager and other relevant stakeholders. Organise and conduct Collective Centre management meetings. Follow up on identification of refugees households to be relocated in the Collective Centres. Provide support, leadership and supervision to Collective Centre Management Team.   About you To be successful in this role you must have: Bachelor Degree in Political/Social Sciences, Business Administration, Migration Studies, International Relations, Law or any other related field (Master Degrees is a plus) 3 years of experience in the field of humanitarian interventions in emergency and post-crisis environments, humanitarian assistance, human rights good knowledge NGOs mandates and programmes in the humanitarian responses, refugees, post conflict construction and development Previous experience in CSMC is an advantage We offer An interesting job in one of the world’s best NGOs. DRC will offer the successful applicant a contract until the end of December, contract renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be willing and able to work in Kobayat and in wadi Khaled -Akkar. Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for National staff. This position will be placed at level C1, equivalent to USD 1,505 per month (basic salary).
