Child Friendly Space Coordinator

PURPOSE OF POSITION  To coordinate the implementation of the “Child Friendly Spaces” project in putting together project goals that meet World Vision standards and policies in addressing refugee needs in a sustainable manner that leaves considerable positive impact on the targeted beneficiaries. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES Facilitate access to the child friendly spaces for all. Participate in the recruitment of the animators that will be facilitating activities with children in the CFS, when necessary, including performance reviews Ensure that minimum standards of the child friendly are considered. Support in conducting structured group activities, such as art, cultural activities, sports, games and life skills building. Develop the project action plan (according to the specific psychosocial needs of the children) and monitor its implementation with the support of World Vision local partners and the animators. Evaluate the implementation of the project, according to the approved stated objectives. Support the animators in the implementation of the daily or weekly activities and conduct various field visits to the different areas of operations to monitor and supervise the progress of the work periodically. When needed and on an occasional basis, carry out public relations activities, which include accompanying foreign visitors and donors to the project. Identify and mobilize partners; Coordinate with the partners, local NGOs, and other organizations working in the CFS’ sector and in the Bekaa area; Assist in the provision of appropriate capacity building for the local partners, animators and / or volunteers working in the CFS to ensure the sustainability of the project; Support in building the capacity of local partners based organizations on how to assess, plan, design, implement, monitor and evaluate projects Identify key protection threats affecting the child friendly spaces. Identify safety issues and follow-up with the risk manager on the safety and security of the chosen locations Develop monthly operational progress reports with the support of the animators and the local partners. Prepare financial and narrative reports on the progress of the project. File all important records and correspondences related to the project  MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Good command of English, both written and oral. Good interpersonal skills and cross-cultural sensitivity. Positive attitude with a willingness to learn. Ability to cope and work under pressure. Computer literate mainly in Microsoft Office package. Willing to travel withinLebanonwith a valid driver’s license Willingness to learn and ask questions Well-organized, self-motivated and ability to work in a team. Ability to work in difficult and high risk situations
