For more information on MSI, please visit our website at www.msiworldwide.com. Project Summary:  The Lebanon Community Resilience Program (LCRP) is a project funded by USAID/OTI. The LCRP provides strategically targeted support to advance peace and stability in Lebanon. **Please note: Only Lebanese citizens are eligible for this position.**  Position Summary: The IT Specialist will be responsible for managing the Information Technology infrastructure of the LCRP Project and overseeing an IT Assistant. The IT Specialist is also responsible for the overall integrity of the OTI/LCRP Activity Database and will work in close coordination with the LCRP Program team. The position reports to the Office Manager and is based in Beirut.  Responsibilities: Maintain structural integrity of the OTI/LCRP Activity Database, as well as other LCRP Project tools for the collection and management of information. Manage overall integrity of the OTI/ LCRP Activity Database in close coordination with the Program team to ensure that information is accurate and up-to-date. Train users as needed on the OTI/ LCRP Activity Database and all of its functions. Address OTI/ LCRP Activity Database structural issues. Maintain structural integrity of IT systems and LCRP Project server. Maintain and operate office equipment; serve as an IT generalist and troubleshoot day-to-day office IT issues to assist with IT related problems. Gather IT requirements from users, and develop solutions to meet organizational needs.  Develop a service plan to improve users’ technology skills, which will include training users as needed. Conduct periodic trainings for MSI headquarter and field office staff in the use and maintenance of LCRP data collection and management systems. Assist Operations Manager with developing IT solutions to support operations and reporting requirements as needed. Assist Information Manager to produce regular and ad hoc project reports, maps and additional graphic representations of LCRP program activities. Design electronic filing systems for the project in coordination with the Chief of Party and the Operations Manager. Ensure that project files and data are regularly backed up. Ensure staff compliance with LCRP Information Security Manual and update the manual as needed. Actively contribute to information sharing within the LCRP Project. Perform other tasks as requested by the Chief of Party and the Operations Manager.  Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, or relevant subject. Three years’ experience in information management, database design, and IT systems, preferably on development projects. Knowledge of USAID procedures is an advantage. Experience with data collection procedures, systems design, systems analysis, and information systems project management. Demonstrated ability to create and/or manage a large, secure database.  Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive data with the proper discretion and security is preferred. Supervisory experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational and detail-oriented skills. Ability to occasionally travel to project activity locations. Proven ability to work effectively as a team member. Fluency in English. Experience managing and maintaining IT and communications equipment, networks and systems.
