Partnership Officer (Beirut Office)

ROLE PURPOSE: Save the Children’s partnership programme is preparing to scale up. New Syrian partners were identified and need increased support to carry out relief aid to the most vulnerable. The post of Syria Program Partnership officer is created in order to enable this expansion thanks to the assistance that the post will provide to the Partnership Coordinators.   KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:                   Assist the Partnership Coordinators > Assist partnership coordinators with supporting partners so that they produce the expected outputs against implementation plans, budgets and timeframes > Prepare reporting templates in line with log frames and budgets for partners based on the sub-award agreements > Explain reporting formats and requirements to partners and support them with reporting where necessary > Keep track of and file all deliverables due from partners > extract relevant information from partner’s reports and process it for monitoring and reporting purposes > Work with Partnership coordinators to ensure compliance with donor requirements > Ensure the safety of communication between partners in Syria and the partnership team in coordination with the Security Coordinator > Organise the logistics of all the trainings taking place in Beirut for the capacity-building of partners   Collaborate with the SPP Finance team > Work with the Finance team to ensure the timely payment of partner instalments > Support partners to provide proper financial reports   Collaborate with the Awards team Under the supervision of the Partnership coordinators, support in collecting data to enrich the content of proposals and reports for the awards team to compile Select photos and videos most relevant to illustrate reports and accompany financial documentation from among those provided by Partners Collaborate with Awards officer to prepare and organise the kick off and the close out of sub-grants with all concerned QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES Required Education to BSc/BA/BEng level in      Social Sciences, Political Science, Business, Statistics or related field Familiarity with the basics of data      collection and management Demonstrated ability to assist others      both one-on-one and in a group setting Experience in working with civil society      groups Experience of humanitarian work Fluent English and Arabic, both      spoken and written Strong communication skills,      particularly for networking with diverse groups of people Politically and culturally sensitive      with qualities of patience, tact and diplomacy The capacity and willingness to be      extremely flexible and accommodating in difficult working circumstances. Commitment to the aims and principles      of SC. In particular, a good understanding of the SC mandate and child      focus and an ability to ensure this continues to underpin our support Strong skills in excel and other data      management software   Desirable Experience with institutional donors      (i.e. DFID, OFDA,)
