Australian Cultural Orientation Trainer

Under the overall supervision of IOM Chief of Mission and the direct supervision of the Co Regional Coordinator for Australian Cultural Orientation (AUSCO), the incumbent will perform the following functions:   Conduct Cultural Orientation (CO) for Australia bound refugees in Beirut and in the region as needed by the CO Coordinator, and in accordance with CO Middle East curriculum objectives;   Prepare class schedules and update CO tracking sheets for reporting purposes as directed by the CO coordinator;   Maintain inventories of all instructional supplies and report inventory to the  CO Coordinator on monthly basis ;   Engage in self-directed study for professional development, including reading resettlement updates, language tutorials, attending CO related workshops and seminars in consultation with the CO Coordinator;   Submit monthly and quarterly program narrative and statistical reports as needed;   Perform other related duties as assigned.   A full AUSCO session is considered at 25 hours delivered over 5 days including the preparation/liaison and reporting/follow up.

Education:
Bachelor / Diploma in teaching or a related field is required.

2 Experience:
Minimum 3 years of working in teaching / cross-cultural setting
Good computer skills in MS Office applications, good internet skills.
Australia living, studying or work experience is a marked advantage
Fluency in English and Arabic, both in written and spoken forms and excellent drafting skills in both languages.
