Job Title: Psychologist For Sexual And Gender Based Violence (Sgbv) Project

General duties and responsibilities: Within the safe and confidential spaces established in already operating SDCs, Community Centers, Child Friendly Spaces or newly identified premises in each covered district, the Psychologist will provide Psychological support to most critical identified cases (by Child Protection (CP) and Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV) case workers) promoting an integrative and holistic survivor centered approach. The Psychologist will ensure quality case management by providing counseling, informing the survivors about all available services, drafting an action plan and, after seeking consent of survivors, referring to adequate services. The roving Psychologist (covering three districts of the South of Lebanon) will also ensure continuous guidance to SGBV and CP case workers. Specific duties and responsibilities: Under the direct responsibility of the SGBV Project Manager and Area Coordinator, and in close collaboration of the CP and GBV case workers and CP social workers teams the psychologist will:  1. Identified vulnerable cases are provided with direct psychosocial support and internal and external referral as needed, accordingly to a beneficiary/survivor centered approach and based on guiding principles Assist the SGBV and CP case workers in the detection of most vulnerable cases. Provide a clinical assessment on identified cases of persons at risk and survivors of SGBV. The Psychologist will open individual files for survivors, monitor the service provision and ensure that cases under assistance receive all the care and support needed. Following assessments of specific protection needs, extremely vulnerable cases will be provided with emergency cash assistance to SGBV survivors or persons at high risk of SGBV. Regular cash assistance will be exceptionally provided to Persons of Concern (PoCs)  (in agreement with UNHCR) Provide identified children and adolescents at risk, women and girls, men and boys, both refugee and host community survivors or at risk of SGBV, with emotional support, ad hoc immediate assistance.  Psychologist will provide beneficiary/survivor access to immediate, safe and multi-sectoral services through referral, psychosocial support and quality case management for identified cases of SGBV and Child Protection: the Psychologist ensures a timely referral to most appropriate services available (medical care, mental health and psychosocial support, legal counselling and assistance, safe shelter, education and livelihood opportunities) according to the needs and established SOPs. Support the development and establishment of internal and external referral and coordination mechanisms for assistance to PoC at risk or survivors of SGBV in close cooperation with UNHCR and other relevant actors 2.  Organization and facilitation of regular peer-led Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) and specific psycho-social group activities Participate to targeted recreational activities in the Child Friendly Spaces or informal life skills trainings in identified premises Organize and facilitate regular peer-led Focus Group Discussions FGDs: conduct group discussion with individuals, families and hosting communities Work with the partners to organize and support community-based psycho-social activities in identified premises 3.  Carrying out briefings on Child and Adult Psychology and protection related issues to local networks, key community members as well as authorities and offer trainings to INTERSOS staff on quality case management and protection mainstreaming in field interventions The Psychologist will regularly organize and facilitate briefings on Protection and SGBV related issues to local networks, key community members (such as refugee community focal points), as well as authorities in order to raise awareness on diverse protection concerns and encourage timely referral. Support the CP and SGBV case workers quality case management and general INTERSOS staff (of all projects) by offering trainings to ensure that protection issues are mainstreamed in field interventions and detection of cases can be efficiently referred in timely manner.  4.  Reporting Produce and maintain accurate records and follow up action plans of the beneficiaries: cases files and technical reports must be archived in locked and secure location, access to them should be restricted only to relevant, authorized CP and SGBV project staff. Set up a monitoring system to evaluate the effectiveness and the impact of the individual counseling and psychological support interventions The Psychologist along with Information Management Officer will integrate the inter-agency efforts aiming to ensure safe and ethical collection, storage, analysis and sharing of reported GBV incident data, using the GBV information Management System (GBVIMS). Ensure a daily quantitative and qualitative reporting through specific reporting tools (Assessment Form, Psychological follow up form, Intake Form, etc). 5.  Participate in the analysis and reporting of global issues in the refugee population, with a focus on psychosocial and psychological issues Identify specific needs on psychosocial and psychological issues of the project’s beneficiaries, as well as to contribute to the assessment of these needs Participate to formal and informal meetings with the team, and contribute to a qualitative analysis of the different kinds of issues, at individual, familial and community level Participate to the reporting of activities and evolution of the beneficiaries psychosocial situation 6. Meetings Be available to participate in meetings in Tyre’s INTERSOS Office or other identified premise. Participate to case management meetings in Tyre (UNHCR premise) Meets with other project staff when required. Participate to trainings and workshops
