Psychiatrist

Main purpose : To provide psychiatric diagnosis and treatment to the patients followed by the Mental Health Team (psychologist) and suffering from severe and common psychiatric disorders.   Main tasks :  v     Conduct a complete psychiatric assessment/diagnosis to the patients referred by the psychologist.  v     Provide treatment for psychiatric cases that are in need of drug treatment, referred by the psychologist.  v     Run the consultation in an appropriate welcoming and confidential manner.  v     Maintain a systematic patient flow wherein waiting time is minimal and patients are assisted accordingly.  v     Ensure a comprehensive mental health care according to the clinics’ protocols and guidelines using psychotropic’s drugs from MSF drug list.  v     Participate as a member of the mental health team when requested by the Mental health Country Responsible.  v     Ensure that proper information on treatment and follow up are collected and ensure complete documentation of all cases (whether new or old case) , file accordingly and encode in the MH database.  v     Refer to  in-country available psychiatric services in case of patients needed in-patients care/psychiatric hospitalization.  v     Establish collaboration/communication with the psychologist and general practitioner in the project in order to achieve a multi-disciplinary approach to patient care.  v     Provide extensive medical information/explanation to patients. Academic Requirements :          *Post graduated degree or training in Psychiatry Experience/interest in migration issues Experience in facilitating trainings Strong communication and organisational skills Capacity to work in a multidisciplinary team   The following qualities are required for persons desiring to work in our clinic  Autonomy: Able to function without constant support, able to take initiatives.
