Acting Communication Manager

a.      Development of a relevant and effective communication strategy that contributes to the achievement of LADE’s vision and strategic goals: -          Assist in the development of LADE’s strategic plan -          Produce a draft communication strategy and present to the ED & Board for approval   b.      Produce communication material  that promotes LADE and highlights its achievements: -          Website -          Marketing kits -          Reports c.        Maintains excellent relationship with Media & oversee the implementation of communication activities and ensure the quality of the work carried out by his/her subordinates. d.      Manage the human resources of the department: -          Assist in the recruitment of the required human resources -          Provide new comers with the needed induction and assign tasks and responsibilities -          Conduct performance appraisal for the staff of the department and make recommendations -          Coach the staff and develop their capacities    e.       Assist in the executive management of LADE -          Participate at the LADE’s managers’ meetings and at Board meetings if requested by the ED -          Produce regular progress reports and other reports if required -          Assist in the organization of the general assembly and other LADE’s major gatherings -          Ensures the compliance with LADE’s  values, policies and procedures -          Assist in the creation of an enabling work environment   4. Minimum Qualifications: Education -          Bachelor degree in Journalism, Political Science, Literature or Communications -          Excellent command of the Arabic and English languages,  French is an asset . Experience -          At least 5 years of experience in communications of which at least 2 in a supervisory position. -          Good background and knowledge of the Lebanese atmosphere, political situation, electoral systems…. -          Good knowledge of the NGO sector in Lebanon. Computer Sound IT literacy in Word, Excel, e-mail, internet and PowerPoint Skills and personal traits -          Good Planning & organizing skills -          Ability to work under pressure -          Good leadership skill -          Results oriented -          Commitment to LADE’s Identity &values -          Effective at building strong working relationships -          Passionate & Optimistic, Challenging & Inspiring, Credible & Accountable, Persevering & Delivering Results. -          Good presentation skills. -         Excellent interpersonal and public communication skills. Ability to interact effectively with senior government officials and representatives of the private sector and civil society.
