Under the close supervision of the M&E Coordinator, you will have to:
1. Ensure that the field databases are properly completed by the field database teams
- Participate in the implementation of the new database management system, and follow up
of its modification process
- Participate in the field teams’ training about data collection on the field
- Organise trainings/meetings with field database teams to ensure data are entered consistently
and properly between bases
- Provide recommendations on the field follow up tools (forms, donation certificates, etc…) to ensure
they are appropriate for data entry
- Advising field database teams on technical issues and provide the necessary trainings
2. Compile and merge all data received from the bases and ensure the quality of the data entered
- Recommend improvements of the data base and follow up tools on a regular basis
- Modify the database based on recommendations and projects modification.
- Collect and merge field’s databases on a weekly basis.
3. Analyse and report on data on request
- Generate comprehensive data for reporting on key indicators and variables
- Generate monthly comprehensive quantitative data on activities
4. Does random cross checks of the database with closed beneficiary files
- Ensure that all the appropriate documents in the beneficiary file are available, and participate
in the improvement of the beneficiaries filing system at national level
- Ensure that all the documents are correctly filed in the database
This list is not fully comprehensive. The Data Officer is expected to be flexible according to the
project’s needs and accept extra duties as per the demands of the projects.
PROFILE REQUIRED
Professional background
1 to 2 years experience in data and monitoring
At least 1 previous experience in humanitarian context, preferably in emergency response ;
INGO working experience is real advantage
