Minimum required knowledge & experience:  2 - 3 years work experience in similar function Good knowledge of spoken and written English Good computer skills Standard function description / Main Responsibilities :  OT Nurse provides specialized nursing care to patients undergoing surgery He/she focuses on wellbeing of patients during the surgery Performs antiseptic surgical scrub Positions  patient properly for the procedure Checks patient's medical record Checks with the patient the surgical operation to be performed Transfers the patient to the operating table and ensures the pressure on the different regions is minimized Applies restraints to immobilize patient on the operating table Practices the surgical scrub hand washing in line with approved procedure Shares relevant patient information with the anesthetist, surgeon and other team members Helps clean the equipment and dispose linen once the operation is completed Abides by the Infection control and Safety rules Follows ICRC OT policies and  procedures
