Collectivesite Management And Coordination Assistant –Baalbeck

We are looking for a highly qualifiedand motivated CollectiveSite Management and Coordination Assistant for the DRC Field Office in North Bekaa.   Who are we? DRC has been operating in the Middle East and North Africa for over a decade, running a combination of livelihood, protection, advocacy and relief projects. DRC has six project offices throughout Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia/Libya, Turkey, and both a country and regional office in Jordan. DRC Lebanon has been assisting the Syrian displaced, fleeing Syria into northern Lebanon, since May 2011. This assistance has come through the provision of food and non-food items, various outreach activities (registration, follow-up and awareness sessions) rehabilitation of collective shelters and the implementation of quick impact projects. Duties Facilitate the establishment and support the functioning of Collective shelter committees with a particular attention to vulnerable groups and/or persons. Conduct focus group discussions/workshops with refugees of different ages and gender to identify their needs and concerns. Maintain regular contact with community representatives in their area of responsibilities. Identify gaps, problems and vulnerable cases in their area of responsibilities and report to the Collective Site Management and Coordination Officer (CSMCO). Conduct management meetings and write the minutes.  Support the committees in conducting awareness sessions and information sharing for Collective shelter residents. Facilitate and encourage the participation of the community in the daily life of the Collective shelter. Conduct surveys and data collection within the Collective shelter as directed. Assist in the maintenance of records of Collective shelter residents. Identify, coordinate and/or collaborate with other service providers in order to reinforce information sharing and service provision. Provide information to the Refugees on the services available and/or provided by service providers working in the Collective shelters. Report daily the problems and the information collected in the Collective shelter (community structure, data collection updating, vulnerable cases, arrival and departure, gaps and problems, etc.) to the CSMCO. Report any protection threat or security concerns to the CSMCO. Facilitate conflict resolution between families if problems arise. About you To be successful in this role you must have University degree; preferably related to social work Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience Excellent interpersonal skills Commitment to the values, vision and mission of DRC Good computer skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel…) Self-motivation and strong team spirit Ability to work under pressure and in a stressful environment Experience in community mobilization Experience working with local NGOs (partnering)     We offer An interesting job in one of the best NGO’s in the world.
