Child Friendly Space Assistant

PURPOSE OF POSITION   To coordinate the implementation of the “Child Friendly Spaces” project in putting together Project goals that meet World Vision standards and policies, in addressing refugee needs in a sustainable manner, that leaves considerable positive impact on the targeted beneficiaries MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES   Facilitate access to the child friendly spaces for all. Assist in the recruitment of the animators that will be facilitating activities with children in the CFS. Ensure that minimum standards of the child friendly are considered Assist in conducting structured group activities as art, cultural activities, sport, games and life skills building ones. Assist in the developing the project action plan (according to the specific psychosocial needs of the children) and monitor its implementation together with the animators. Assist in evaluating the implementation of the project according to the approved stated objectives Support the animators in the implementation of the daily or weekly activities and conduct various field visits to the different areas of operations to monitor and supervise the progress of the work periodically. Once needed and on occasional basis, carry out public relations activities, which include accompanying foreign visitors and donors to the project. Identify key protection threats affecting the child friendly spaces. Identify safety issues and follow-up with the coordinator on the safety and security of the chosen locations File all important records and correspondences related to the project. Coordinate with the Communications  department at the National Office for story coverage at the project level. Monitor expenditures and budgets and track activity expenses; ensure that appropriate action is taken in a timely fashion Prepare and update the list of items to be purchased when needed and coordinate with World Vision Lebanon Procurement officer on all procurement needs. Facilitate the rehabilitation of the determined locations (Painting, procurement of needed material, installation of the sound system, bathroom renovation, etc.) Arrange for drinks/hospitality during the CFS activities MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Good command of English, both written and oral Good interpersonal skills and cross-cultural sensitivity. Positive attitude with a willingness to learn. Ability to cope and work under pressure. Computer literate mainly in Microsoft Office package. Willing to travel within Lebanon with a valid driver’s license Well-organized, self-motivated and ability to work in a team. Ability to work in difficult and high risk situations   Experience 1 to 2 years   EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Local Contract– Full Time (6 months)
