Social Worker

   Purpose of the position To follow-up on all cases and social issues that Refugees are facing in Central and West Bekaa  MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES  Attend regular distribution sites and other WV projects to refer protection cases to adequate service providers Attend regular sessions at the CFS to observe, identify and potentially discuss with children about any social issue they are facing with their parents, peers or their community. Conduct visits to specific parents in order to understand the children’s family structure and enhance proper discussions with parents to follow-up on the child’s issue. Ensure proper filing is done regarding every case, visit and discussion. Report must be written mentioning major points in addition to recommendations and follow-up plan. Discuss with other social workers specific case studies for better intervention. Maintain adequate safeguards for the privacy of the family and confidentiality of information. Create and follow-up with case workers from other NGOs Write a monthly report about the evolution of work in this project and show the results reached in this specific aspect.       Participate in all coordination meetings required Follow-up on a suggestion-box for children, parents and Animators WORK CONDITIONS Should be willing to:spend 70% of the time in the field and 30% in the office.  MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS A full commitment to World Vision’s core value and humanitarian mandate. Full adherence to World Vision Child Protection, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest policies. Bachelor degree in social work.   One year experience in a similar related job. Experience in project implementation, monitoring and report writing. Good      command of English, both written and oral. Good      interpersonal skills and cross-cultural sensitivity. Positive      attitude with a willingness to learn. Flexibility      in accomplishing tasks. Ability      to cope and work under pressure. Computer      literate mainly in Microsoft Office package. Willing      to travel within Lebanon with a valid driver’s license. Well-organized,      self-motivated and ability to work in a team  EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Local Contract– Full Time (6 months)
