Project Manager - Integration Of Palestine Children With Disabilities In The Formal And Non-Formal Education Sector

CONTEXT L'Institut Européen de Coopération et de Développement (IECD) is a French development organization operating in the field of international solidarity. It has been present in Lebanon since 1989. Today, IECD and its local partners implement several programme for professional integration support, access to education, support to small enterprises and health care projects. Over the last ten years, IECD in partnership with Foyer de la Providence have developed the specialized school Mosaik and its Center of Resources and Orientation Trait d'Union. Together they are working to allow students with learning disabilities to receive an adapted education and to train the teachers of “regular” schools to inclusion methods. To extend the benefits of those activities, IECD and the Foyer de la Providence are launching a three year capacity building program towards 15 institutions welcoming Palestinians youth. The main objective is to increase adoption of an inclusive approach in the formal and non-formal education sector in order to decrease dropout rates and allow children with learning disabilities to enroll in “regular” classes.In parallel, this project aims to raise awareness on inclusion among health services, educators and families together with the creation of a referral system to improve the provision of diagnosis and care for CwD.IECD is recruiting a project manager who will be in charge of the implementation of this project. MISSION Under the direct supervision of the country representative, the project manager will be in charge of the technical and financial implementation, will supervise the project team and in charge of the relations with the partners and all stakeholders involved. His/her main tasks will consist in: 1- To coordinate the implementation and overall management of the project2- To supervise the project team including the experts and the consultants.3- To review on a regular basis the action plan in order to insure the proper technical and financial execution of the project, ensure the internal monitoring of the activities 4- To be responsible of project budget compliance and financial management5- To be in charge of the design and implementation of a awareness raising campaign (definition of the strategies, tools to be used, assessment of its impacts, etc). 6- To prepare and send progress reports, financial report and any report requested by the donors or needed for internal purposes7- To be the main contact person for all communication about the project 8- To monitor project progress and implementation,9- To facilitate evaluation and audit mission
