Who are we The Danish Refugee Council has worked in Lebanon since September 2004, and the programs have followed the country’s needs and progress. The main focus of today’s efforts in Lebanon is to help the hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees, who have fled across the border to find protection from the conflict in their homeland. DRC is simultaneously maintaining the efforts toward the vulnerable groups of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon. More than 200.000 Syrian refugees have received assitance from the Danish Refugee Council since the beginning of the crisis. For further information about DRC, please refer to our website: www.drc.dk About the job Under the supervision of the CCCM Programme Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation of operations in collective settlements in his/her area of responsibility Duties Facilitate the establishment and support the functioning of Collective Center committees with a particular attention to vulnerable groups and/or persons. Conduct focus group discussions/workshops with refugees. Maintain regular contact with host community leaders and representatives. Conduct surveys and data collection within the Collective Center as directed. Submit weekly progress reports to the CCCM Officer. Perform other duties as may be assigned by the CCCM Officer.   About you To be successful in this role you must have completed the secondary education and have an experience in community mobalization and in liaising with governmental authorities, in addition to the knowledge of NGOs mandates and programmes Ideally you will also have a bachelor degree in a related field and previous experience with international NGOs in CCCM We offer An interesting job in one of theworld’s best NGOs. DRC will offer the successful applicant a6 months contract, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be willing and able to work in Kobayat Akkar.
