Logistician (L/sl/unicef)

INTRO Terre des Hommes Italy, nongovernmental international organization, is recruiting a Logistician to be involved in the implementation of Education and Protection projects for Syrian Refugees, Palestinian Refugees from Syria and affected populations in the Palestinian camps of Naher Al Bared, Ain Al Helweh and Rashidiyeh funded by UN agencies.   JOB PURPOSE The Logistician will support a project aimed at training teachers, developing extra-curricular activities and school leadership development in order to enhance student achievement in public schools. The Logistical, in his/her capacity, is responsible for facilitating the implementation of all logistical aspects regarding the support of project`s activities and logistical management of the offices. S/he wil work in collaboration with the local implementing partner (Naba'a).    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Logistic support related to field and office needs (e.g. goods purchasing, utilities payment, cars and office premises maintenance, etc.); Support in translation for Project Manager and any other international staff, mainly in the field; Contact to and co-operation with relevant focal point and local authorities; Work in collaboration with the local implementing partner (Naba'a). Collecting all the needed data and/or information related to the projects; Identification of potential suppliers and/or contractors; Procurement activities (supply and work contracts); Cars maintenance and car log-book; The Logistician is responsible for preparing and submitting weekly progress reports to the Project Coordinator, or when requested; Other duties as may be assigned by the Project Manager and agreed upon;   Qualifications and skills: High school diploma (technical specialization) or other diploma supported by specific working experience; Works sites experience; Good computer skills; Excellent knowledge of English and Arabic languages, both oral and written; Valid driving license and ability to drive both automatic/manual cars; Previous experience in working with national/international NGOs is an advantage; Ability to work both independently and as a team member; Excellent communications skills; Ability to work in different cultural environments;
