Outreach Coordinator

The Outreach Coordinator reports to the Director, and is involved in the development and implementation of the organization’s internal procedures and policies, and in the coordination of its activities.   The Outreach Coordinator will:   Represent the organization at community activities to enhance the organization's community profile Draft policies for the approval of the Director and prepare procedures to implement the organizational policies; review existing policies on an annual basis and recommend changes as appropriate Ensure that personnel, patient, donor and volunteer files are securely stored and privacy/confidentiality is maintained Provide support to the team and the Board by preparing meeting agenda, supporting materials, tracking forms, and writing minutes of meetings. Evaluate services offered and projects implemented by the organization Prepare and disseminate annual reports at the end of each year Document patients and families’ testimonials to evaluate services Develop contextualized educational material about palliative and end of life care Write press releases about the organization’s events or activities Oversee: Administrative work and documentation tasks The update of social media pages and the organization’s website Patient information updates and filing Oversee the implementation of the human resources policies, procedures and practices including the development of job descriptions for staff Recruit and interview applicants when vacancies are announced. Ensure that regular performance evaluations are held, and that sound human resource practices are in place. Work with the director in preparing a budget. Research funding sources, oversee the development of fund raising plans and write funding proposals to increase the funds of the organization Participate in fundraising activities as appropriate Ensure that sound bookkeeping and accounting procedures are followed Communicate with stakeholders to keep them informed of the work of the organization and to identify changes in the community served by the organization Act as a spokesperson for the organization Represent the programs and point of view of the organization to agencies, organizations, and the general public.
