Child Protection - Community Mobilisation Assistant

SCOPE OF WORK: Brief description of the position’s role within the Project(s): The Community Mobilization (Com. Mob) assistant is working hand in hand with the Community Mobilization Officer. He/she is responsible to support the officer in the delivery of training to the community, linkage with community/leaders, sharing information on IRC programs, and existing services in the region Who this position reports to: The Com. Mob assistant reports to the Com Mob Officer   RESPONSIBILITIES: Technical Quality Link with community leaders, keep track of context information regarding the ITS Facilitate and co facilitate training to the community members regarding CP and IRC programs, as well as other relevant actors Share information to the population in the ITS around IRC services Facilitate and co-facilitate trainings in the communities and to staff, and volunteers or PSS and  Child Any other CP activity as required Professional Standards All IRC staff are required to adhere to THE IRC Way Standards for Professional Conduct and the IRC country employment policies.   REQUIREMENTS: Technical diploma or degree in social science, pedagogy, preferable Experience in working with communities   Experience in working with children with children  and organizing activities a plus Working experience in NGO a plus Experience in conducting trainings Minimum of 3 years working experience Personal qualities: Team player, flexible, network-builder, able to handle pressure, enjoying working in the field Fluency in written and spoken Arabic mandatory English speaking is a plus.     Travel and other requirements: Staff will be based in Bekaa's Governorates, with some travel required between the governorates and the main IRC office in Beirut.
