About the job
Under the overall supervision of the CSMC (Collective Site Management and Coordination) Project Manager and the direct supervision of the CSMC Officer in South, the successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation of all DRC's operations in collective settlements located in his/her area of responsibility.
Duties
Facilitate the establishment and support the functioning of Collective Center committees with a particular attention to vulnerable groups and/or persons.
Support the committees in conduct awareness and information sharing for Collective Centre
residents.
Identify gaps, problems and vulnerable cases in their area of responsibilities and report to the Collective Centre Management officer.
Conduct management meeting and write the minutes.
Maintain regular contact with host community leaders and representatives and facilitate their participation in the daily life of the collective center
Conduct surveys and data collection within the Collective Center as directed.
Identify, coordinate and/or collaborate with other service providers or DRC units’ staff. Share information and help them liaising with Collective Centre committees or focal point in order to improve access to and quality of service provision.
Perform other duties as may be assigned by the CSMC Officer.
About you
To be successful in this role you must have:
a) Completed secondary education.
b) Experience of participating in community based organization or volunteering or social work.
c) Experience in community mobilization and/or coordination and/or information management;
d) Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, other national/international institutions;
e) Knowledge of UN and NGO mandates and programmes in the humanitarian responses an advantage.
f) Fluent in Arabic and Basic knowledge of French or English an advantage.
We offer
An interesting job in one of the world’s best NGOs. DRC will offer the successful applicant a six month contract, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work asap and be willing and able to work in South.
Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for National staff. This position will be placed at level B1, equivalent to 1,385 USD per month.
