  Vacancy Announcement   Finance and Administrative officer FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER   DanChurchAid (DCA) was established in 1922 and is today one of the major Danish humanitarian non-governmental organisations working to assist the poorest of the poor. DCA has offices in 12 countries, projects worldwide and about 150 staff in HQ in Copenhagen. DCA has an office in Lebanon with 2 staff and currently seeking a Finance and Administrative Officer for its Humanitarian activities for the Syria Crisis. DCA offers : (1) Six-month contract starting 1   st July 2014 with 3 months’ probation. Possibility of extension subject to availability of funding. (2) Working Hours and annual leave : 8 hour working day with 2.5 days leave per month (3) Duty Station : Beirut with occasional travel in the region (4) Starting date : Immediate (ASAP) (5) Competitive Salary package with a monthly gross salary 1500-2000 (USD) depending on qualifications and experience (6) Good working conditions Main Tasks : Finance :  Responsible of the development of financial aspect of cooperation agreement, proposals, reporting and consolidated budget send to Regional office (RO) .  Work with partner in preparing Budgets for proposals and ensure that expenditures are in line with project budgets and DCA office budgets  Ensure all back-donor financial guidelines and requirements, DCA policies and Code of Conduct are respected by implementing partners of DCA and the partners operates in compliance with Lebanese labour Law .  Communicate and negotiate with potential and existing DCA partners to plan, implement, monitor and report on financial aspects of DCA supported projects.  Identify capacity constraints of partners for effective implementation and reporting on financial aspects of projects and initiate relevant capacity building interventions  Prepare reports as needed and work with auditors to prepare annual/projects audits.  Assist Regional office in the preparation of overall program budgets  Liaise with partners for financial reporting , payment schedules and auditing  Monitor the integrity and accountability of the financial systems implemented by partner  Bring to the attention of the Emergency Response Manager (ERM) Lebanon any misuse or mishandling of DCA funding resources Administration ( Office Administration, Human Resource , Logistics and Procurement ) Office Administration:  Prepare and implement fixed assets registration system  Develop and manage an effective document filing system and ensue that intranet filing is kept updated.  Provide verbal and written translation Arabic to English as required.  Contribute to DCA publications and reporting  Attend relevant meetings and prepare minutes as required  Be responsible of preparing payment and that all office equipment and furniture are in working conditions.  Responsible of bookkeeping and/or completing the cashbooks and ensure the availability of supporting documents to send request to RO for replenishment  Ensure the DCA’s cash flows, bank account balances are properly maintained.  Any written reporting work as required
