Who are weThe Danish Refugee Council has worked in Lebanon since September 2004, and the programs have followed the country’s needs and progress. The main focus of today’s efforts in Lebanon is to help the hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees, who have fled across the border to find protection from the conflict in their homeland. DRC is simultaneously maintaining the efforts toward the vulnerable groups of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon. More than 200.000 Syrian refugees have received assistance from the Danish Refugee Council since the beginning of the crisis.For further information about DRC, please refer to our website: www.drc.dk About the jobProviding case management to vulnerable boys, girls and their families who need psychosocial support and other services. Duties    In compliance with best-practice and international standards in CP response, provide direct psychosocial support to vulnerable girls and boys. Case management services will include assessment of needs, development of an action plan for recovery, implementing the action plan and ensuring appropriate follow up and close the case when appropriate. The case management process should be implemented through a child-centered approach;     Provide age-appropriate counseling for vulnerable children through the implementation of tools developed to ensure the best interest of the child.     Provide age-appropriate qualitative psychosocial support in safe spaces (community centers) including emotional support group sessions and awareness sessions; About youTo be successful in this role you must have:•    Bachelor/Degree in Social work, Counseling, psychology or other related field;  •    At least 2 years of experience in counseling mainly with children; Ideally you will also have:•    Master degree in gender studies, social work and/or psychology•    Previous experience in international organizations and humanitarian settings We offerAn interesting job in one of the world’s best NGOs. DRC will offer the successful applicant a 6 month contract, renewable dependent on both funding and performance.
