Clinical Psychologist

Scope of responsibility: Under the responsibility of the medical team leader Implement mental health activities within the MSF mission Carry out mental health care   Activities: Mental health activities Evaluate the psychological needs of the patient Diagnose any psychiatric or psychological disorder Define the best response (treatment and strategy) to answer these psychological needs Refer patients to psychiatrist or to other NGOs whenever needed and according to MSF guidelines, protocols and criteria. Carry out psychological care (psychological support or psychotherapy) according to MSF protocols Intervene with the MSF medical staff when required for patients needing mental health assessment Provide psychological group sessions, and individual sessions. Coordination and training Increase awarness and train health staff to “triage” mental health patients Set up, maintain and work with the mental health community network Monitoring, analysis and reporting Participate in the development of the plan of action Actively monitor and report mental health activities.
