We are looking for a highly qualified candidate responsible to the Logistics & Procurement Officer for procurement of programme supplies in their location and supporting improvements in all logistical functions including supply chain management.

Since May 2011 , DRC has been actively involved in the Lebanon emergency response to the Syrian crisis with presence in the North , East (Bekaa valley ) and South of Lebanon. . The DRC response is designed around 4 majors sectors :Food /NFI distribution , Protection , Shelter and livelihood support . About the job
You will assist in providing technical support and planning support to future initiatives to increase the in-country logistics capacity. This requires a highly motivated and detail solution oriented individual who will be able to resolve operational critical challenges as they arise
Duties
Procure all materials and equipment ordered by the projects in conjuction with the Log/Proc. Officer and the Area Logistics Manager
Ensure that all orders are tracked from point of planning and request through to final receipt. Send the procurement tracker to the Area Logistics Manager on a monthly basis.
Prepare the relevant documents for the procurement of goods and services, referring to the Log/Proc. Officer or the Area Logistics Manager as needed.
Participate in evaluation of bids and proposals and make sure the bids evaluation report, technical evaluation, minutes of negotiations and negotiated contract in selection of consultants contain all the facts and information required to justify the recommendations made in the report.
Participate in the joint verification of procured goods and equipment and to ascertain the items conformity to Technical Specifications and Quantities.
Oversee the proper use and maintenance of a database on all procurement activities for a project.
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual procurement reports,and assist with the preparation of contracts and their amendments .
Provide data to monitor and evaluate the overall logistics performance in support of the programs, and provide logistics support to the programme staff as required.
Coordinate transportation of freight by land, air and sea, in line with programme budgets and needs; ensuring the most cost effective and reliable means of transport is used for the timely delivery of supplies to projects.
Together with the Log/Proc. Officer, maintain the daily vehicle movement schedule and records and assigning of all mechanical transport as required.
Share the details of any assets or inventory purchased with the Log/Proc. Officer in order to facilitate asset and inventory tracking.
About you
To be successful in this role you must have a Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field, excellent IT skills, experience in supply chain management including procurement, transport and distribution, warehouse and stock management, or relevant qualifications and training courses
Ideally you will also have a university degree in Supply chain management or Business administration, experience with standard procurement procedures and documentation, experience with construction and site project management, 2 to 3 years of relevant experience.

An interesting job in one of the world’s best NGOs. DRC will offer the successful applicant a 6 months contract, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work from 2nd of June and be willing and able to work in Zahle.
Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for National staff. This position will be placed at level B1, equivalent to 1180 USD per month.
