Posting Title: INTERN – Communication Assistant {Full-Time Paid Internship} Department/ Office Communication Department- ANERA, Lebanon Duty Station BEIRUT   About ANERA   American Near East Refugee Aid (ANERA) advances the well-being of people in the West Bank, Gaza, Lebanon and Jordan. For more information, check out ANERA’s website: www.anera.org   Organizational Setting and Reporting   The duration of an ANERA internship is normally 6 months on a full time basis - this may be exceptionally extended for a maximum period of nine months. It is awarded on the recommendation of the communication manager. Interns are paid a stipend of $30/working day that covers all related expense including transportation. ANERA accepts no responsibility for costs arising from accidents and/or illness incurred during an internship. Therefore, upon awarding an internship, candidates will be required to sign a statement confirming their understanding and acceptance of the conditions of service. This internship is located within the Communication department and reports directly to the Communication manager.   Responsibilities   The intern will be responsible for carrying out the following:   Assist Communication Manager in building and maintaining ANERA’s public identity through everyday operations including: Write stories about ANERA’s program and activities in Lebanon, specifically In-Kind program Take high-resolution photographs and maintain photo library Produce short videos on beneficiaries’ needs and ANERA’s activities Ensure compliance with ANERA external communication guidelines Contribute to organizing PR events Contribute to building and maintaining media and communities relations Complete any other tasks as assigned by the Communication manager or ANERA Country Director in Lebanon   Qualifications and position requirements   Education: Graduate from a reputable university in the field of communication, media, journalism, cinema   Computer Skills: MS applications, Adobe Suite (in particular: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), Final Cut or other video editing software   Personal skills: Great interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, ability to think creatively, strong written and oral communication skills, positive, ethical attitude.   Languages: Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic is required.   Work Experience: Applicants are not required to have professional work experience for applying to this vacancy   Assessment Method Shortlisted candidates will be contacted by the Program and Admin Officer directly for further consideration.
