Case Management Officer - Qobayat

SCOPE OF WORK:The Case Management Officer provides direct support and case management to vulnerable women and girls as part of the WPE team in various locations in the Qobayat including: Case management services located in Women and Girls’ Community Centers or community-based safe spaces; Emotional support groups in Women and Girls’ Community Centers and/or community-based safe spaces; Psychosocial activities in Women and Girls’ Community Centers and/or community-based safe spaces The Case Management Officer also provides technical support to other WPE caseworkers and community mobilizers through Facilitating weekly case management review sessions; Facilitating individual case review sessions using the case management quality assessment tool Organizing coaching, mentoring and debriefing sessions; Reviewing community mobilization practices to ensure integration of a psychosocial approach   Who this position reports to:                              WPE Program Manager Who this position provides technical support to:  Caseworkers and Community Mobilizers Who this position works with:                            Caseworkers, Sr. Program Officers, Community                                                                                                 Mobilizers, Admin & Data Officer, Adolescent Girl Officer   RESPONSIBILITIES Provide support, coaching and capacity building to caseworkers implementing case management and facilitating emotional support groups Organize and facilitate regular case management and emotional support group review sessions with other caseworkers Organize and facilitate case file review session to ensure appropriate case management procedures are followed and quality case management practices are implemented. Hold regular caseworker mentoring and coaching sessions based on identified needs and gaps Introduce new emotional support group activities and opportunities Assist caseworkers in utilizing GBVIMS and case management tools Directly provide case management and psychosocial support services to vulnerable women and girls, including survivors of GBV, whenever there are gaps in service provision at the WGCCs or community-based safe spaces Provide technical support to caseworkers and community mobilizers to integrate appropriate psychosocial strategies into their activities Review outreach activities to ensure psychosocial strategies are incorporated Ensure that outreach worker activities include key messages regarding psychosocial support services provided Organize and facilitate trainings for community mobilizers that address issues of how to talk about GBV services provided by caseworkers, how to respond to GBV disclosure, and how to refer GBV cases Assess capacity and training needs amongst caseworkers and community mobilizers, and develop capacity building strategies in collaboration with WPE Sr Officers and Program Manager Monitoring & Reporting Support the maintenance of the IRC’s case management system and the GBV Information Management System. Act as GBVIMS focal point in each field location Complete the case management quality assessment tool jointly with caseworkers on monthly basis Participate in weekly reporting and planning meetings to ensure adherence to standards of care, quality case management, and reporting requirements are followed Coordination & Representation Collaborate with WPE Admin & Data Officer and Community Mobilizers to ensure effective operations for WGCCs and community-based safe spaces Collaborate with WPE Sr. Officers, Caseworkers, and Community Mobilizers, to plan, implement, and monitor WPE activities in WGCCs and community-based safe spaces As requested undertake/participate in liaison, coordination, and information sharing activities with national NGOs, international organizations, donors and government. Other Other duties as assigned by the supervisor to enable and develop IRC programs All IRC staff is required to adhere to THE IRC Way Standards for Professional Conduct and the IRC country employment policies QUALIFICATIONS Required Counseling and training experience with a reputable organization, including 1-2 years of experience counseling survivors of abuse or violence. Clear understanding of gender inequality, and issues of violence against women and girls. Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect for clients at all times essential. Positive and professional attitude, able to organize, maintain composure and prioritize work under pressure, work overtime when necessary and be able to coordinate multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail. Ability to work as a member of a team essential. Must be computer literate, including Microsoft Word and Excel Preferred INGO experience Experience in training and/or building capacity of other team members through coaching and mentoring Ability to communicate in English and write clear and concise reports in English strongly preferred Personal qualities Works well with a team and promotes teamwork, comfortable in a multi-cultural environment, flexible and able to handle pressure well
