Senior Communications Officer- Beirut

We are looking for a highly qualified candidate that has the skills to engage in our organization as a Senior Communications Officer. Who are we?DRC has been operating in the Middle East and North Africa for over a decade, running a combination of livelihood, protection, advocacy and relief projects. DRC has six project offices throughout Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia/Libya, Turkey, and both a country and regional office in Jordan.DRC Lebanon has been assisting the Syrian displaced, fleeing Syria into northern Lebanon, since May 2011. This assistance has come through the provision of food and non-food items, various outreach activities (registration, follow-up and awareness sessions) rehabilitation of collective shelters and the implementation of quick impact projects. Duties• Production of high quality written and visual material• Identification of key communications and visibility needs, and coordination with programme and Beirut staff to best identify materials and modalities of dissemination. • Dissemination of all communications and visibility material produced by Beirut About youTo be successful in this role you must have a University degree with advanced training/courses either in social sciences, international relations, journalism, communications, or other related field; Three-five years of relevant professional experience as a journalist, public information officer, or similar capacity; excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic. Ideally you will also have experience in photography and photo/video editing. We offerAn interesting job in one of the best NGO’s in the world.
