Accountant

The Accountant is responsible for applying sound principles of accounting control procedures and recording all financial information and data. She/he will appropriately prepare financial reports through compiling information and preparing profit and loss statements, and budgets.   Among the functions and the results s/he is expected to achieve: Record and document all financial transactions. Manage all project accounting databases to ensure timely upkeep, follow up and control Maintain ongoing analysis, forecasting, and review of project expenses. Manage all kinds of payments for staff, consultants, vendors, grantees, and subcontractors in accordance with Moussawat’s accounting procedures and contract policies. Submit monthly expense reports to the Financial Manager and Executive Director. Oversee procurement transactions in accordance with each project’s contract.
