Gbv Case Worker- South Lebanon

We are looking for a highly qualified candidate that has the skills to engage in our organization as a GBV Case Worker. Who are we?DRC has been operating in the Middle East and North Africa for over a decade, running a combination of livelihood, protection, advocacy and relief projects. DRC has six project offices throughout Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia/Libya, Turkey, and both a country and regional office in Jordan.DRC Lebanon has been assisting the Syrian displaced, fleeing Syria into northern Lebanon, since May 2011. This assistance has come through the provision of food and non-food items, various outreach activities (registration, follow-up and awareness sessions) rehabilitation of collective shelters and the implementation of quick impact projects. Duties• Provide age-appropriate counseling for vulnerable adolescent girls and children through the implementation of tools developed for caring for child survivors and in the best interest of the child.• File and store GBV data in the gender-based violence information management system(GBV IMS) in compliance with the information sharing protocol developed at the inter-agency level; • Support the implementation of monitoring and evaluation tools and report on problems in the implementation of the program; • Work closely with the child protection section when GBV cases involve child survivors, particularly when assessing best interest of the child;• Develop and maintain effective working relationship with relevant stakeholders including partner agencies, community leaders and service providers; • Contribute to the maintenance of an up-to-date service mapping of the service providers operating in the area and ensure that caseworkers are informed about the available services; About youTo be successful in this role you must have a Bachelor Degree in Social work, Counseling, psychology or other related field in addition to being fluent in Computer literacy (Microsoft Word and Excel). At least 2 years of experience in counseling survivors of gender-based violence or vulnerable women and girls is essential. Ideally you will also have a Master degree in related field and have a previous experience in international organizations and humanitarian settings.
