Hygiene Promotion Officer

Under the supervision of Wash supervisor and Wash head of Project,  the Hygiene Promotion Officer will be responsible to participate in hygiene campaign,  to participate in house to house Hygiene promotion, and to  prepare written material for the field, elaborate clear and adapted message for beneficiaries. Specific Duties and Responsibilities : The Hygiene Promotion Officer will be responsible for : 1-  Elaboration of hygiene promotion material. Identify the most appropriate message regarding the target population. Write clearly and  understandable message. Evaluate the necessary material needed for a campaign/activity. 2-House to house visit and hygiene campaign. Mobilise the community to change behaviour regarding hygiene practice. Ensure the work is properly done and the material use wisely. Participate in hygiene campaign, doing shows in schools and at community level. Animate focus group, giving clear message on good hygiene practice. 3-  Reporting. Report the progress of the work to the supervisor and the Head of project; Report possible problem or conflict during the activities. Data collection regarding the project and the potentials beneficiaries. Regular reporting to Hygiene Promotion Manager and to the Head of Project. 4- Other water and sanitation Conduct House hold assessment.  Conduct the  Distribution of water and sanitation items. Support to other areas of the department.   Knowledge and Skills required: Bachelor of art in public health, social sciences or related fields. One to Two years of experience in a same field; Strong communication skills, used to speak in public and work with people from different backgrounds. Experience in hygiene promotion, work with local communities, children and vulnerable people,  experience in community mobilization and participation, Computer skills (Microsoft Office), Fluent Arabic, Very good English level (written, reading and writing).
