Finance Officer - Beirut

We are looking for a highly qualified candidate that has the skills to engage in our organization as a Finance Officer. Who are we? DRC has been operating in the Middle East and North Africa for over a decade, running a combination of livelihood, protection, advocacy and relief projects. DRC has six project offices throughout Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia/Libya, Turkey, and both a country and regional office in Jordan.DRC Lebanon has been assisting the Syrian displaced, fleeing Syria into northern Lebanon, since May 2011. This assistance has come through the provision of food and non-food items, various outreach activities (registration, follow-up and awareness sessions) rehabilitation of collective shelters and the implementation of quick impact projects. For further information about DRC, please refer to our website: www.drc.dk Duties Maintain proper filing of all financial documentation (vouchers, contracts, tender documents, etc.), Preparing staff monthly payroll and share it with the field staff, until it is handed over to HR department, Reviewing the monthly cash books (ensuring that accounts and budgets are fully in accordance with donor requirements), Close and daily coordination with the field offices on finance issues, to follow up on timely payment of the suppliers/partners’ invoices, to maintain cashbooks as recommended by the DRC HQ, To prepare the cash transfer’s request to field office whenever needed according to the monthly forecast budget/payment schedule as agreed with operations and HOFA, To update and share regularly the financial documents, allowing an accurate/timely/safe financial management of the programme ,   About you To be successful in this role you must have a Bachelor Degree and experiences in related field. Ideally you will also have a Masters Degree and have worked previously in Humanitarian Organizations. We offer An interesting job in one of the best NGO’s in the world. DRC will offer the successful applicant contract until end of June contract, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work from April 2014 and be willing and able to work in Beirut.
