Logistics Assistant ( Tripoli )

Save the Children has been operating in Lebanon since 1999 and is recognized for its commitment to accountability, innovation and collaboration.  Save the Children currently implements programs in Child Protection, Education, CRC, Health and Nutrition, Food Security & Livelihood, Shelter, and Emergency Response throughout Lebanon.   Save the Children is seeking qualified candidates to fulfill the following positions, for its Lebanon Country Office, in the following locations Beirut, Tripoli, Akkar and Bekaa:     KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:   1. Processing requests, conducting procurements When delegated to by the Supply Chain Officer, manage each procurement in line with Save the Children and donor procurement procedures and rules Collect quotes from suppliers Ensuring all the correct procedures are followed, documentation completed and authorisation obtained Organise the receipt of goods in Beirut, and/or liaise with field offices to prepare for the delivery of items. Prepare for the delivery of the items, and draw up GRN and SCNs Receive and process invoices, process payment of suppliers for items delivered. Follow up the payment process with Finance to ensure SC fulfils its obligations to suppliers Adhere to Save the Children procurement procedures   2. Record keeping and statistics Maintain detailed records of purchase requests, track all orders, and record deliveries. Update the procurement tracker and disseminate it regularly Update the suppliers list regularly and source new suppliers.   3. Reporting requirements Daily update on procurement activities to the Logistics Coordinator Quarterly update of the prices catalogue and suppliers list   4. Fleet Management Assist the Logistics Coordinator in developing weekly movement plans and monitoring these on a day to day basis Ensure that all cars in the SCI fleet meet safety standards   5. Assets management Work with Logistics Coordinator to ensure all assets in the area of responsibility are managed according to SCI’s Asset Management Policy, SCI Asset Management Guidelines, and relevant donor rules and regulations.
