It Help Desk

In this role, IT Helpdesk will provide maintenance of the IT environment by analyzing requirements, resolving problems, installing hardware and software solutions, and supporting IRD Lebanon Staff in all branches, especially offices in Beirut .  He will be responsible for administration and internal support of the IRD’s PCs, printers, servers, and related equipment. Tasks include end user support, license tracking, and performing PC maintenance, upgrades and configurations.   Responsibilities:   Should respond to Staff queries immediately and make arrangements to provide solutions. Providing appropriate advice regarding the steps that should be taken in a particular situation. Facilitate the repair work if any. Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to requests received through the IT Manager or Offices Managers. Visiting the IRD’s premises if the problems is serious and requires special skills for handling the same. Schedule regular maintenance at least once a month to check all the IT environment is working well and in good condition. Modify configurations, utilities, software default settings, etc. for the local workstation. Utilize and maintain the helpdesk tracking software. Assist with onboarding of new users by install all the required Software, Applications, and Hardware…etc. Ensure each workstation has a computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse, hard drive, and any additional specialized equipment. Install, test and configure new workstations, peripheral equipment and software. Report issues to the IT Manager for escalation. Manage PC setup and deployment for new employees using standard hardware, images and software. Assign users and computers to proper groups in Active Directory. Perform timely workstation hardware and software upgrades as required. Send a Monthly report to the IT Manager for all what is done in the month. The IT helpdesk must have the IT manager approvals before accessing any Server or appliances that belongs to the IRD. The IT Helpdesk will not install on IRD computer system any non-standard software or any software without a prior written confirmation from IRD IT Manager. All the installed Software must be licensed, NO Trial or Cracked programs are allowed to installed on IRD Systems under any circumstances.
