We are looking for a highly qualified candidate to help in organizing, leading and monitoring distribution activities in central and west Bekaa Who are we DRC has been operating in the Middle East and North Africa for over a decade , running a combination of livelihood , protection ,advocacy and relief projects .DRC has six project offices throughout Iraq,Syria , Tunisia/Libya , Turkey , and both a country and regional office in Jordan . Since May 2011 , DRC has been actively involved in  the Lebanon emergency response to the Syrian crisis with presence in the North , East (Bekaa valley ) and South of Lebanon. . The DRC response is designed around 4 majors sectors :Food /NFI distribution , Protection , Shelter and livelihood support . As such , DRC is positioned in Lebanon as a main implementing partner of UNHCR , UNICEF , WFP , ECHO and DANIDA , implying a rapid expansion of its programme and structure. For further information about DRC, please refer to our website: www.drc.dk About the job You will help in organizing, leading and monitoring distribution activities in central and west Bekaa. In addition to refer protection cases and vulnerable cases to the right sectors inside and outside DRC. Report the distribution figures to the line manager. Duties Monitor and evaluate on going distribution,lead and guide the volunteers during distributions Report all the distribution figures after each distribution activity to the line manager Ensure beneficiaries are respected and cared for during distribution activities Prioritize vulnerable cases during distribution and provide needed support Refer protection cases when identified to the protection team Deal with complaints or issue related to distribution through distribution hotline  , Manage conflicts when they arise and always find solutions Organize the daily / weekly / monthly work plan, in coordination with the line Manager About you a)   To be successful in this role you must have a university Degree, high computer skills and great knowledge of Arabic and English languages. With also previous social worker or volunteer with humanitarian organizations.   b)    Ideally you will also have a Bachelor degree in social sciences or humanitarian studies   We offer An interesting job in one of the world’s best NGOs. DRC will offer the successful applicant a 6 months contract, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work from April 18th , and be willing and able to work in Zahle. Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for National staff. This position will be placed at level B1, equivalent to 1180 USD per month.
