Project Officer (Education)

Job Summary Concern Worldwide is in the process of starting an Education Progamme in the Akkar region. This is an exciting opportunity for those who are interested in a new challenge with relevant experience to be part of a dynamic team. The main purpose of the position is to support the implementation of a non-formal education (NFE) programme in Akkar district, for Syrian refugee children. The Project Officer (Education) will be responsible to carry out field assessments, monitoring the progress of the projects activities, and be the key focal point with project teachers, caregiver and community groups. Ensuring full inclusion of the most vulnerable children and families is a key responsibility of this role.  The role will be based within the Concern Halba office, the incumbent will travel frequently (up to 80%) to the project sites to meet with the projects teachers, caregiver and community groups, and other stakeholders. Duties and Responsibilities  Conduct  assessments Monitor field level implementation of non-formal education (NFE) activities. Reporting and information management. Develop positive relationships with community members, formal and non-formal education actors, and ministry representatives, to support the successful implementation of activities at field level.   Skills, Qualifications, Experience REQUIRED   Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, such as education, or social studies. 3 years experience working in a Non-Government  Organization  and/or  experience working in education Strong written and spoken English, fluent in Arabic Strong empathy skills and genuine care and respect for needs of others especially children refugees The ability to prioritize competing demands.
