Who are we
DRC has been operating in the Middle East and North Africa for over a decade, running a combination of livelihood, protection, advocacy and relief projects. DRC has six project offices throughout Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia/Libya, Turkey, and both a country and regional office in Jordan. DRC Lebanon has been assisting the Syrian displaced, fleeing Syria into northern Lebanon, since May 2011. This assistance has come through the provision of food and non-food items, various outreach activities (registration, follow-up and awareness sessions) rehabilitation of collective shelters and the implementation of quick impact projects.

About the job
Responsible for providing direct supervision for psychosocial support and case management to children at risk.
Duties
Support child protection caseworkers through the provision of technical support and guidance. Ensure that staff implement and respect best-practice and international standards in child protection response;
Prepare and submit weekly, monthly and 3-month work plans in a timely manner upon officer’s validation;
Develop and maintain effective working relationship with relevant stakeholders including partner agencies, community leaders and service providers;
Oversee case management (including follow up on referrals and action plans) and support services provided to children (awareness sessions, emotional support sessions) in safe spaces;
Develop and support adherence to child protection response protocols (case management, referral pathway, etc.);
Assess gaps in service provision and request capacity-building support from child protection national coordinator;
Any other duties relating to the nature of the job as directed by the child protection officer.
About you
To be successful in this role you must have Bachelor in Social work, Counseling, psychology or other related field; 3 to 4 years of experience in counselling survivors of gender-based violence or vulnerable women and girls; Computer literacy (Microsoft Word and Excel).
Ideally you will also have Flexibility in working overtime when needed; Computer literacy (Microsoft Word and Excel);

An interesting job in one of the world’s best NGOs. DRC will offer the successful applicant a 2 months contract, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work from 11-4-2014 and be willing and able to work in Tripoli.
Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for National staff. This position will be placed at level B5, equivalent to a basic salary of $1460 in addition to 120$ transportation allowance per month.
