Trainer/consultant- Beirut

We are looking for a highly qualified candidate that has the skills to engage in our organization as a Trainer/Consultant. Who are we?DRC has been operating in the Middle East and North Africa for over a decade, running a combination of livelihood, protection, advocacy and relief projects. DRC has six project offices throughout Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia/Libya, Turkey, and both a country and regional office in Jordan.DRC Lebanon has been assisting the Syrian displaced, fleeing Syria into northern Lebanon, since May 2011. This assistance has come through the provision of food and non-food items, various outreach activities (registration, follow-up and awareness sessions) rehabilitation of collective shelters and the implementation of quick impact projects. DutiesPre-training:• In coordination with the DRC Project Manager and MoSA focal point, assess the training needs of the MoSA in view of the current ToR• In coordination with the DRC Project Manager and the MoSA focal point, set the selection criteria for trainees to us get the trainees who are the most adapted trainees for the training Training:• Training material in both English and Arabic• 1training workshop conducted• 1 field based exercise conducted Report, evaluation and training materials:• 1 final workshop report, including the results from pre and post workshop knowledge tests• Prepare training materials for future use Indicators:• Number of participants • Participants have improved their knowledge by at least 65% by the end of the workshop About youTo be successful in this role you must have Advanced University degree in disciplines such as disaster management, geography, environmental management, or development economics with at least five years of work experience in disaster management, or a similar field. In addition to that, a proven track record of at least 5-8 years in similar assignments is mandatory, good proficiency in English (spoken and written) and Proficiency in using computer applications (word processing, spreadsheet, presentations, project planning, e-mail, graphics etc.) Ideally you will also have Regional experience in facilitating or supporting the development of similar pre/post-disaster needs assessment procedures/ guidelines and good knowledge of the humanitarian situation in Lebanon and the related challenges.  We offerAn interesting job in one of the best NGO’s in the world. DRC will offer the successful applicant a contract until the end o June, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work from April and be willing and able to work in Beirut.Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for nationals and expats depending on qualification.
