Warehouse Assistant - Akkar

We are looking for a highly qualifiedand motivated individual to work as a full-time warehouse assistant in Qobayat, Akkar/Lebanon. With continued instability in Syria and increased instability in Lebanon, DRC is expanding its operations of providing shelter, assistance, livelihoods and education For further information about DRC, please refer to our website: www.drc.dk About the job The Akkar Warehouse Assistant, in coordination and cooperation with the supporting staff is expected to substantially assist: In the daily preparation of goods for distribution, or resupply to other DRC Warehouses. In the daily receipt goods from the suppliers and donors. Duties Report to DRC Warehouses as directed by Warehouse Supervisor Quobayat Warehouse. Assist in the organisation and supervision of the Akkar Warehouse casual labourers and pick-up drivers; Assist for proper stocking of commodities according to DRC Operations Handbook Chapter 18. Assist for the keeping of detailed and accurate stock records. Planning and monitoring the receipt, storage, loading and dispatch of goods.   About you To be successful in this role you must have a degree in business administration or equivalent, good computer skills (MS word and excel), good communication skills, sound knowledge of warehouse documentation procedures and systems and 2 years’ experience in working in a large warehouse. Ideally you will also have a stock management certificate andHumanitarian Organization experience in a similar role.     We offer An interesting job in one of theworld’s best NGOs.
