We are looking for a highly qualified candidate to help us in implementing our projects to assist refugees. Who are we DRC is now mainly working with Syrian refugees, but has been operating in Lebanon since 2004, working with Palestinian and Iraqi refugees, as well as Lebanese communities affected by the war in 2006.  DRC is committed to basic humanitarian principles; including impartiality and neutrality, and offers the highest standards of accountability to the people it serves. For further information about DRC, please refer to our website: www.drc.dk About the job You will be responsible for the vehicle assigned to you, ensure a good and safe transport of DRC staff and equipments and ensure the maintenance of the vehicle under your responsibility.   Duties Driving the vehicles responsibly according to DRC’s driver manual. Understanding and following all traffic rules and regulations. Transporting people and ensuring that all the passengers are using seatbelts and abiding to DRC cars rules. Transporting material (making sure that the material & vehicle are not being damaged while stacking). Applying standard procedures in case of accident with a written report to the supervisor. Checking car equipment & ensuring proper fuelling and cleaning.   About you To be successful in this role you must have: -       Lebanese driving license issued from more than 2 years. -       Aged more than 24 years. -       2 years experience in similar field work. -       High school level of education. Ideally you will also have experience with NGO, good English written and spoken. We offer An interesting job in one of the world’s best NGOs. DRC will offer the successful applicant a 3 months contract, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work from 26-3-2014 and be willing and able to work in Tripoli. Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for National staff. This position will be placed at level A+1, equivalent to a basic salary of 920 USD per month.
