Child Protection Officer – Tripoli

We are looking for a highly qualified candidate who can be an added value for our organization and support our activity in Child Protection department. Who are we DRC Lebanon has been assisting the Syrian displaced, fleeing Syria into northern Lebanon, since May 2011. This assistance has come through the provision of food and non-food items, various outreach activities (registration, follow-up and awareness sessions) rehabilitation of collective shelters and the implementation of quick impact projects. For further information about DRC, please refer to our website: www.drc.dk About the job   Duties Coordinate with UNHCR and UNICEF and all other local and international actors in regards with Child Protection Supervision of the work of the  Senior child protection case worker, the child protection case workers, child protection assistants and animators providing coaching and support Receive referrals from different agencies and local actors and provide feedback of actions taken Supervising the mobile teams providing Psychosocial support in urban and rural areas Carry out field visits and conduct home visits, awareness sessions, Focus Group Discussions/participatory assessments, meetings with partners Maintaining good relations with local implementing actors, local authorities and other international and local stakeholders   About you To be successful in this role you must have a university degree preferably related to social work, Fluency in english lamguage written and spoken and a minimum 4 years of relevant work experience. Ideally you will also have experience with NGO in Protection field. We offer An interesting job in one of the world’s best NGOs. DRC will offer the successful applicant a 3 months contract, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work from the 24 th of March and be willing and able to work in Tripoli - Lebanon. Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for National staff. This position will be placed at level C1, equivalent to a basic salary of USD 1505 per month.
