Area Coordinator - Mount Lebanon

Job Description To be the representative of TdH-It on the field according to the PM indications and in line with TdH-It’s project strategy; To liase the schools with the municipalities, the local communities and TdH-It; To participate in the planning and monitor the implementation of the Accelerated Learning Program, Second Shift activities and transportation activities, working in close collaboration with and under the direct supervision of the the field Officer and the Project Manager; To supervise and ensure data collection; To facilitate and monitor the implementation of the project activities promoting the child as central actor; To coordinate and supervise the provision of students' entry diagnostic tests and evaluation tests; To organize awareness campaigns on children's rights and on the importance of education and positive discipline among the target population in collaboration with and under the direct supervision of the Educational Expert, Field Officer and the Project Manager; To monitor, support and coordinate the project field staff in the assigned area; To participate in coordination meetings and collaborate with TDH-It Mount Lebanon team to support the project activities in other project sites when needed. Qualifications University Degree in humanitarian affairs, social science, law, development studies or relevant field At least 2 years of progressively responsible professional experience in humanitarian affairs, human rights, child protection, emergency preparedness, crisis/emergency relief or rehabilitation or other related area with a minimum of 1 year experience in emergency response or humanitarian relief context (though experience in a development context is also highly regarded) Excellent knowledge of English and Arabic Able to work independently and in a team Strong cross-cultural communication and resilience skills are very important Able to establish and maintain effective working relations with people of different cultural backgrounds Average computer literacy Holder of a valid driver’s license
