Development And International Relations Officer

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES The DIR Officer at Adyan foundation is responsible of: I) Strengthening Adyan’s public relations and visibility 1-       Assist the CEO in the PR and strategic relations management (communication, meetings preparation, follow up…) 2-       Manage and strengthen the relation with the circle of Adyan’s supporters 3-       Develop, strengthen and contribute in managing Adyan’s public and political relations on the local and international levels 4-       Contribute in specific Public events management, in collaboration with the communication and management team 5-       Ensure the successful participation and visibility of Adyan in relevant intercultural and international networks and events 6-       Represent Adyan, when required, in meetings and public and media events   II) Contributing in the development of financial resources 7-       Study the global financial position of the organization, including risk analysis 8-       Organize fundraising events 9-       Search and Study grants opportunities and collaborate in grants’ application writing 10-   Identify and build relations with potential donors and sponsors   III) Assessment of the organization’s progress and support in the development of new areas of work 11-   Monitor Adyan’s progress in reaching its strategic objectives, in collaboration with management team 12-   Assist in project’s evaluation strategy development, in collaboration with management team  13-   Assist the CEO in assessment studies related to infrastructure and internal resources 14-   Support the management team in entering new areas of work and designing projects when needed 15-   Study partnerships opportunities (attending related meetings and managing/calling for meetings with potential organizations)     REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS AND PROTOCOL OF COMMUNICATION The DIR Officer directly reports to Adyan’s CEO The DIR Officer collaborates with the management and administration team for global evaluation and strategic development The Program manager collaborates with the Communication and Media Officer for the visibility plans   The DIR Officer is part of the Adyan operational team and participates to the CFT (Cross-functional team) meetings lead by the foundation’s CEO.      REQUIREMENTS Education and experience A university degree (Masters is a plus) in Marketing, International / Public Relations, Development studies or a related field A minimum of 3 years work experience with clear responsibilities and achievements Professional command of spoken and written English and Arabic; French is a plus. Computer skills (excellent in Office (Word, Excel…), Internet communication and navigation)  Skills Leadership and strong capacity for planning and organization  Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure Ability to work and communicate in an international professional framework and abroad  Creativity Excellent interpersonal skills, team work and a good listener Good communication skills Ability to take initiatives and be flexible and adaptable in a changing environment Ability to handle unexpected issues  Qualifications Personal belief in and support of Adyan’s mission and core values Commitment to creating positive environmental, social and cultural change Willingness to learn   JOB SPECIFICATIONS Working Hours Full-time job (8:30 to 5:00 – week days)
