Assistant Field Unified Registration System Administrator   Location Lebanon Field Office Type of Appointment Fixed Term – Project Funded (One post - Till February 2015) Employment Roster Deadline for Application 13 March 2014 Vacancy Announcement Number 15/2014 Grade 10 Department/Division Relief & Social Services Department   MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES In accordance with Agency policy and procedures, the incumbent:   (A)     Assists supervisor in providing technical support for ensuring RSSP and emergency field staff properly utilizes all systems and software for day-to-day operations including Refugees Records Information System (RRIS), Social Safety Net (SSN) module and emergency module; (B)     Collects, consolidates and analyses data related to the Information Systems used by RSSP and emergency team in order to produce reports and statistical data that will support managers and decision makers in planning, budgeting and forecasting; (C)     Identifies RSSP Field small business application development needs, follows-up action, development, testing and deploying as requested by his/her supervisor in accordance with ISD policy; (D)     Assists in the preparations for system installations and in the implementation of systems testing; (E)     Assists in ensuring the proper implementation of backup procedure regarding RSSP and emergency databases; (F)      Acts to FURSA during his/her absence; (G)     Performs such other duties as may be assigned.   PERSONAL & PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES (A)   Academic and Professional         A university degree in computer science or information systems   (B)   Experience At least three years of experience in the application of the above and in the administration of database systems and in SQL server in specific.   (C)   Language        Good command of written and spoken English and Arabic.   (D)   Competencies i)      Excellent communication skills; ii)     Ability to produce timely, quality outputs, exercises sound judgment/analysis, and develop creative solutions/recommendation; iii)   Ability to build deep knowledge, make valuable contributions and provide advice and support to others; iv)    Ability to coordinate the work of others, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines; v)     Excellent interpersonal skills; vi)    Willingness to keep abreast of new development concepts and approaches.   DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS i)      Good knowledge in statistics; ii)     Possession of valid driving license.   ADDITIONAL INFORMATION The incumbent may be required to travel in the UNRWA’s area of operations.   CONDITIONS OF SERVICE Salary: Monthly basic salary L.L. 1,716,218.- Contract Duration: -          Fixed term – Project funded till February 2015 (extendable subject to availability of funds) till fill one post at Lebanon Field Office -          Employment roster of three persons at Lebanon Field Office Holidays: 30 days annual leave Dependency allowance: Dependent spouse: L.L 60,000 per month     Dependent child: L.L 33,000 per month Pension:  Provident Fund contribution   EQUIVALENCY Candidates with an equivalent combination of relevant academic qualifications, professional training and progressive work experience may also be considered.   RECRUITMENT PROCESS The Recruitment process is based on the Agency’s strategy to obtain the best qualified and suitable employees through a competitive recruitment process. The final recommendation for selection is based on the test results, interview assessment, Agency priorities and needs and the candidates’ profiles.
