Psychosocial Assistant (2 Positions)

MAJOR TASKS: -       Assists the Psychosocial Advisor in the various activities of the psychosocial intervention. -       Liaises with the field officers for school visits and meetings. -       Assists in the psychosocial trainings to be conducted for the teachers and the education field officers -       Assists in psychosocial classroom activities -       Follows up on the implementation of the recreational/psychosocial classes in the schools. -       Assists in the pre and post evaluation tests of the psychosocial intervention -       Assists in the preparation and follow up on the psychosocial publications -       Prepares progress reports and updates when requested -       Assists in the individual psychological support session in the schools. -       Translates from English to Arabic and vice versa when needed for the Psychosocial Advisor -       Other program related tasks as agreed upon with the Psychosocial Advisor.   Knowledge and Skills -       Advanced knowledge in psychosocial / psychological interventions. -       Readiness to learn and adapt to new techniques and approaches. -       Awareness of refugee context following a context-sensitive approach. -       Compassionate while working with refugees. -       Maintains confidentiality and respect towards beneficiaries. -       Experience in working with children and vulnerable populations. -       Good interpersonal and written and oral communication skills -       Team player and adaptable to working under pressure and handling multiple tasks. -       Ability to maintain quality performance in sensitive contexts. -       Comfortable in conducting trainings. -       Good reporting skills. -       Takes initiatives and creative. -       Able to work independently in an organized way. -       Computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). -       Native Arabic speaker with fluency in English.
