Pediatrician - Bekaa Valley - Arsal

-Scope of responsibility: To support the neonatal unit as well as the pediatric unit with training and supervision. To implement basic standards of acceptable care, protocol use, and infection control Ensure organisation of medical activities in neonatology unit for patients and/or a population in accordance to: the context, standardised protocols and universal hygiene standards taking into consideration quality and continuity of care. Ensure supervision and training of the neonatology nurses and doctors team. -Function responsibilities include: Apply neonatology and pediatric knowledge and skills to diagnosis and prevention. Ensure a medical follow-up of quality and if necessary (and possible) refer to other health facilities Ensure hygiene standards in all medical activities. Collaborate with medical team in indicating the needs in medical equipment and drugs. Participate in the organisation of the ward in collaboration with the team supervisor Ensure nurses  and midwifes treatment protocols for routine neonatal care according to MSF guidelines Implements and participate in development of training modules and neonatal protocols. Ensure resuscitation practices and advanced neonatal/ pediatric care of medical complication with        doctors and nurses. Ensure examination of all the patients using universal precautions. Coordinate with the nurse/midwife /supervisor the admission of new patients according to their        personal, medical and infection status. Assess and coordinate the need for external consultations. Ensure the follow-up of new-borns/children within the PHCC to complete vaccination and to assess        signs of danger. Ensure that basic neonatal/paediatric drugs, equipment are available according to clinical guidelines.
