Administration Officer (Zahle)

Save the Children has been operating in Lebanon since 1999 and is recognized for its commitment to accountability, innovation and collaboration.  Save the Children currently implements programs in Child Protection, Education, CRC, Health and Nutrition, Food Security & Livelihood, Shelter, and Emergency Response throughout Lebanon.   Save the Children is seeking qualified candidates to fulfill the following positions, for its Lebanon Country Office, in the following locations Beirut, Tripoli, Akkar and Bekaa:   Reports to: Finance & Grant Manager   KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:   General management Demonstrate the behaviours that are consistent with Save the Children’s Mission, Vision and Values and ensure their broader application by staff across the department. Ensure a conducive and productive work environment. Ensure the appropriate resourcing of admin activities within new budgets; Ensure that administration staff fare trained in and fully understand the child safeguarding policy; Carry out the responsibilities of the role in a way which reflects Save the Children’s commitment to safeguarding children, in accordance with our Code of Conduct and Child Safeguarding Policy.   Administration Responsible for the correct implementation of the SCI admin policies and procedures; Oversee the maintenance of Bekaa office, and accommodation facilities; Develop and oversee the implementation of lease agreements agreements; Ensure appropriate resources for the aforementioned activities in new budgets;   Staff Management Manage Admin staff performance in compliance with SC Lebanon Policies; Coach, mentor, and support opportunities for continual staff development; Support adherence to child safeguarding policy.   QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE A first degree in Business Administration or relevant field. Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar roles Good knowledge and experience of generalist administration, interpretation and application of policies and procedures. Experience in developing lease agreements for office, warehouse, house renting Experience in facilities management; Strong customer and quality orientation; solution –focussed and confident in operating in a changing environment. Excellent communication skills (Verbal and Written), with the ability to provide clear effective advice on a range of administrative. Fluency (written and oral) in English and Arabic is require. Strong team player, collaborative and capable of building effective relationships across all levels Strong results orientation, with the ability to challenge existing mind-sets Proficiency in Microsoft Officer products (Word, Excel, Outllook, Powerpoint) and ability to use the internet to obtain data and reference materials.
