Monitoring And Evaluation Manager - Baalbek

We are looking for a highly qualified and motivated Monitoring and Evaluation Manager for our office in North Bekaa (Lebanon). Who are we?DRC has been operating in the Middle East and North Africa for over a decade, running a combination of livelihood, protection, advocacy and relief projects. DRC has six project offices throughout Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia/Libya, Turkey, and both a country and regional office in Jordan.DRC Lebanon has been assisting the Syrian displaced, fleeing Syria into northern Lebanon, since May 2011. This assistance has come through the provision of food and non-food items, various outreach activities (registration, follow-up and awareness sessions) rehabilitation of collective shelters and the implementation of quick impact projects. DutiesThe M&E Manager has the overall responsibility to lead, capacity build, coordinate and manage DRC monitoring and evaluation staff and activities in the North Bekaa area. In addition to the above, the selected candidate will have to: • Provide technical and strategic advice to the HoO and program/sectors managers on M&E related issues in North Bekaa area• In close collaboration with the HoO (Baalbek) and the M&E Coordinator (Beirut), design and establish the Field Office M&E framework and structure• Working closely with internal program stakeholders, set the framework and procedures for monitoring and evaluation of project activities• Manage the M&E Field Office budget• Represent DRC M&E at relevant donor and inter-agency coordination meetings at field level About you To be successful in this role you must have at least five years of progressively responsible and directly relevant professional experience in a humanitarian context, with at least two years direct experience in a role with M&E responsibilities. You must have demonstrated management experience and the ability to engage and motivate staff and partners in a challenging new area. Fluency and excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential in this role – working proficiency in Arabic preferred. Essential qualifications/experience:• Advanced postgraduate degree in international relief and development, social sciences, public health, statistics/research methods, or related fields;• Thorough familiarity and field experience applying principles and approaches to monitoring and evaluation in humanitarian and emergency contexts using both quantitative and qualitative methods;• Experience in participatory assessment and community-based monitoring approaches.   We offerAn interesting job in one of the best NGO’s in the world.
