Environmental Consultant

  Specific Duties and Responsibilities Participate in the evaluation and selection panel for potential environmental consultancy firms’ candidates which will be performing initial environmental examination for projects to be implemented under the program. Develop Environmental Review and Assessment Checklist (ERAC) and Environmental mitigation and Monitoring plan (EMMP) for projects as per USAID requirements. Develop environmental checklists in line with projects’ EMMP. Deliver training to RMF/BALADI team on CFR 216 compliance. Support program with regards to environmental compliance, whenever needed.   Professional skills and work experience   The expert should be a holder of a master’s degree in environmental studies. The expert should be familiar with Lebanese environmental requirements. Preferably, the expert should have experience with USAID-funded programs and be knowledgeable of USAID CFR 216 provision and the Environmental Review and Assessment Checklist (ERAC) and Environmental mitigation and monitoring plan (EMMP) forms.
