National Hygiene Promoter

Purpose/objective of the position: The Hygiene Promoter will be responsible of the organization, logistics, community mobilization and monitoring and reporting of all the activities concerning hygiene communities’ awareness campaigns, demonstrations, sessions and survey delivery.   Responsibilities/duties: Under the supervision of the Team Leader Hygiene Promoter and as required by the International WASH specialist, delivery effective and appropriate Hygiene sensitization/awareness response to help the refugee targeted population to mitigate health risks, Ensure that technical quality and standards are considered during the HP planning and implementation as required; Collect technical information pre and post the hygiene interventions in ITS and private accommodations to report to the Team Leader Hygiene Promoter and to the WASH international Specialist for the analysis of hygiene associated risks and opportunities. Conduct sessions in the WASH intervention locations in coordination with the Team Leader Hygiene Promoter and under the supervision of the International WASH specialist, to provide the refugee targeted population with technical inputs and guidance on water, solid waste and sanitation facilities management, use and maintenance. Manage the Hygiene promotion related logistics, equipment and material; Ensure that community/beneficiary feedback are collected and reported on regular basis; Any other task not here listed and necessary to the projects achievement in the sector and area of assignment.   Skills/Competences: A minimum Bachelor’s degree in Public Health or Life science, Environmental sciences or similar fields high desirable; Strong diplomatic, interpersonal and communications skills.
