Logistician

Terre des Hommes Italy is recruiting a Logistician to be involved in the implementation of Education and Protection projects for Syrian Refugees and Affected Populations in North Lebanon funded by UN agencies. Main areas of responsibility (in coordination with TdH Project Coordinator): Logistic support related to field and office needs (e.g. goods purchasing, utilities payment, cars and office premises maintenance, etc…); Support in translation for TdH Project Coordinator and any other international staff, mainly in the field; Contact to and co-operation with relevant focal point and local authorities.  Specific duties: 1. The Logistician will assist TdH in the implementation, management and co-ordination of the Project in terms of: Collecting all the needed data and/or information related to the projects; Procurement activities (supply and work contracts); Identification of potential suppliers and/or contractors; Cars maintenance and car log-book 2. The Logistician is responsible for preparing and submitting weekly progress reports to the Project Coordinator, or when requested 3. Other duties as may be assigned by the Project Manager and agreed upon Qualifications and skills: High school diploma (technical specialization) or other diploma supported by specific working experience in building sites Works sites experience Good computer skills Excellent knowledge of English and Arabic languages, both oral and written Valid Driving License and ability to drive both automatic/manual cars Previous experience in working with national/international NGOs is an advantage Personal qualities: Ability to work both independently and as a team member Excellent communications skills Ability to work in different cultural environments
